The need to change what you’re doing, if you want a different result is a simple concept to grasp, but without doubt, also one of the most difficult to execute.
How many times have you heard someone say, or even worse, been someone waiting for life to change miraculously for the better?
If you look back and contemplate the situation at the time, there was most likely an answer to the persons problem in the need to make a change in what they are doing.
Gandhi put it in the most simple terms when he said “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”, because it all starts with you taking action. No one else can make something happen for you, like you can.
You must be the change
you wish to see in the world.
It is with and through change that a new direction is take and a new destiny awaits, because you’re not defined by your past and your future is not written yet, so if you want life to change for the better, do the things that will make it happen.
Change does not come naturally for many people, so if you are among the many who have resisted change because it is uncomfortable, lay down a plan with steps and take just one baby step at a time.
Take A Look In The Mirror
A great way to start is by using an exercise called “Take A Look In The Mirror”.
Its a simple exercise where you record everything you do in a day and see if you can identify the things in life you need to change for life to take you in the direction you want to go.
I’ll give you a little example.
When I stop and look in the mirror (the real mirror) and ask my self “Does my ass look fat in these jeans?” I have to answer yes, but it is not just these jeans, but everything I wrap my fat ass in and there is a reason for that.
Looking in my virtual mirror I can see that throughout my day I sit in a chair most of the time, I don’t exercise and eat way too many cookies, so its not hard for me to identify what I need to do first if I want to look in the mirror and be able to say “Hey!, my booty is bootyful.” :P.
This exercise can be used in life in general or in business and will help you identify the things you need to change if you would like life to take a different direction.
Step outside of your comfort zone, start living a life without limits, especially the limiting beliefs pushed on your by others and begin your journey towards a life worth living today.
Remember: If you keep doing the same things – You will keep getting the same results.
Best wishes and by for now.
